About Ibiza

Bali beds in beach clubs next to the sea; accommodations in beautiful settings; street markets and music. There still is almost a hippy atmosphere rich in culture and the arts. In the 70s artists descended on the beautiful island attracted by the light, scenery and laid-back ambience.

This is an island that represents freedom, beauty, comfort and discovering yourself. You can immerse yourself in the vibrant nightlife whilst also being able to relax and chill in the peace and calm of the amazing scenery. With everything so close by, nothing feels out of reach, and everything feels easier.

Coves just waiting to be discovered are easily reached by boat from the ports of Eivissa, San Antonio and Santa Eulària des Riu.

Stunning sunsets in Es Caló d’es Moro, or meals around the promenades tasting the local seafood.

The possibilities to explore the island are endless.

Ibiza town [Eivissa] has lost none of its old-fashioned charm with avenues and sidestreets to explore and a wealth of superb restaurants both traditional and modern. When you see the local people dining in the restaurants in the tree lined Plaza del Sol you will know the best places to eat. The colonial style buildings lend an air of culture and tradition to this lovely avenue.

Founded by the Phoenicians over 2,000 years ago the town is still rich in history. There are still people living within the walled citadel above the town which is beautifully lit at night.

It’s well worth a walk from the town along the promenade past the two main marinas housing stunning boats some of which are available for day hire with a captain and crew to fulfil your every wish and show you a great view of the coastline and a visit to Formentera, which is also accessible by ferry from the town and well worth a visit. The marinas also have some of the finest restaurants and designer shopping.

There are so many vibrant small towns on the island, each with its own particular charm – from the sleepy sheltered bay of Cala Vadella on the west coast to the lively bars and nightclubs of San Antonia- a popular place to visit.

Quiet villages, shopping, yoga retreats and beaches. There is quite simply something for everyone.

All year-round wonderful weather, Ibiza boasts roughly 300+ days of sunshine and blue skies and up to 12 hours of sunshine per day in the summer.

Pair this with plenty of beautiful beaches, outdoor activities, a sense of community and being known as an incredibly safe place, it is easy to see why many people flock here for their holidays. Ex pats are drawn into the natural beauty of the island from holidaying or maybe working a season. This island becomes their home. Truly an island of dreams.

Ibiza is most definitely not just an island for retirement properties.  Many people settle here with their families of all ages. Activities include both fun and educational boat trips where children and adults alike can learn about marine life and the eco system surrounding the islands. Of course, there is plenty of water based fun, snorkelling, water parks, a glass bottomed boat offering sunset cruises and so many safe sandy beaches. Something for everyone!

Add to the mix an animal sanctuary, adventure parks and electric bike tours, horse riding and caves to explore.

There is a great choice of schools for all ages and abilities from international schools to good Spanish schools for those who wish their kids to have the whole Spanish experience.

Ibiza is a small island located about 60 miles off the coast of mainland Spain. It is part of a group of four islands called the Balearic Islands by the English, or “Islas Baleares” by the Spanish. It includes Ibiza, Mallorca, Minorca and the tiny island of Formentera.

The nearest Spanish port to Ibiza is Denia, at about 60 miles (4 hours on the ferry), followed by Barcelona at about 8 hours.

Ibiza has an international airport able to be reached directly from most European major cities throughout much of the year. Indirect flights are normally via Madrid or Barcelona.
